August 7, 2018 “Hazuki Cup (Dunlop Competition)” held

The ``Hazuki Cup (Dunlop Competition)'' was held as Hokkaido's typical summer finally continued.
Although it felt a little lonely with only 25 participants, everyone enjoyed playing golf on a refreshing summer day.
Today, the course management staff showed great enthusiasm and ran tournament rollers around the greens from early in the morning, creating a fun golf experience.
By the way, the green condition is 10 feet 2/3 (measured at 7:00), which is comparable to a tournament course.

As a side note, I would like to introduce how to measure the speed of the green.

This measuring device is a stimp meter.
If you tilt it 20 degrees, the ball stopped in the groove will roll.
The green speed is determined by averaging that distance in four directions.
The tournament course is said to be 11 to 13 feet.
However, maintaining high-speed greens puts stress on the grass through mowing, compaction, etc.
It is no exaggeration to say that the green is the face of the golf course, so we will take good care of it.
We would appreciate your cooperation in repairing the ball marks.
